Our Stories

Welcome!

My name is Holly and although I am now sharing my work with many, my passion began as a solo endeavor centered around meditation and self-care. I have always loved the feel of clay on my hands and the spin of the wheel. As my hobby progressed and I began to share my creations with family and friends, I experienced immense satisfaction and joy in seeing my pieces loved and used by those around me. I strive to create both functional and beautiful pieces that will be used and appreciated in community with others and in happy solitude. My Danish heritage has engendered in me the qualities of “Hygge”, meaning a quality of coziness and comfortable togetherness that leads to feelings of contentment and well-being. I would love nothing more than for my pottery to be one piece of that feeling for you.

Introducing Cherie!

I am thrilled to announce that my mom, Cherie Godar, is joining Ceramics by Holly! Cherie fell in love with pottery in high school and, after a long hiatus, has returned to the studio. She specializes in hand-building and creating unique pieces with love.
